Brand new to the forum. Thought I’d do a (maybe not so) quick introduction.
A few years ago I moved from Seattle, where I had a fairly large home studio focused on tracking live bands, to a tiny space near Portland. All of my studio stuff went into storage, leaving me with an old four-track cassette machine, (Tascam 414) a Nord Lead 2X, and a bunch of guitar pedals (Carbon Copy, DD-7, Box of Rock, Boss Tremolo, Holy Grail, plus a few more). Everything had to be able to slide underneath a couch at the end of the night. I started experimenting with tape loops and ambient and really came to love the limitations that came with such a small setup. I would track everything on the Tascam, bounce a stereo mix from the tape machine into Pro Tools, (where I would add additional EQ, compression, effects, and etc.) and then I would do the final bounce from there.
I made a few albums over the course of a year or so and thought this might be a good place to share them. Excited to hear some work from all of the other folks on the forum as well. A little info about the albums (free downloads) for anyone who might be interested:
Beyond Sentimental: Download comes with a bunch of photos and a printable PDF zine with a longish form fictional piece. The first ambient album I made. https://beyondsentimental.bandcamp.com/releases
Weird Pain: The only album of these four made entirely digitally. Took some old tracks I could never get quite right and stretched them way out. Download comes with a few extra photos and some lyrics from the original songs. https://weirdpain.bandcamp.com/releases
King Dumb and His Majesty’s Most Illustrious Thought Yet: The original name for this release was actually longer, if you can believe that. All songs constructed out of the raw material of the first track. Started experimenting with glitches and some cut up drums. Download comes with a big photo set. https://kingdumbandhismajestysmostil...p.com/releases
Double Grub: Newest project. Got inspired to add some simple drums and work within a tight framework. Kicked this one out pretty quick. No real extras on this one. https://doublegrub.bandcamp.com/releases
Would be stoked to hear any feedback or thoughts on the albums, and I’m really excited to check out the music of others on the forum. I’m in kind of a drought right now when it comes to new tunes and would love to check out anything anyone has going.
Thanks! Jared

I've been making music on and off from around 2000, but as a main "hobby" only since around 2017. Mostly downtempo music with a beat, in the psy(-dub | -chill | -bient | -trance) genres with a melodic focus. Not too good with genres, so I may be wrong.
I've always wanted to make "real" ambient music, and I have tried (and failed) many times. I am planning that my next project (after I'm done with a more uptempo thing I'm working on now) will be "real" ambient.
Looking forward to getting to know the place! ]]>Introductionspsyboshttps://www.ambientonline.org/forum/foyer/introductions/110854-hi-i-m-psybosRadio Fornax A

I have been in the music industry most of my life started as guitar player until I heard a synth and said that’s me. I have done some releases over the years under different names but have been inactive for quite a few years now. I became caregiver to my parents both with Alzheimer’s I’m sure I don’t need to say that’s a challenge. And 2 years ago we went through a Cat 5 hurricane which pretty much destroyed my town. Fortunately I had protected most of my gear as best I could when it was coming as a lot of the house was damaged. Most Things have been repaired now. My father passed a couple months ago, still taking care of my mum and now I have decided to get back into making music. Plus what else can you do these days right
I sent in a piece I did on one of my Eurorack synths for your compilation, most of my gear is still packed up no real studio right now. Hopefully I can add something to this forum.

Very Hypnotic Sylenth1 for Sylenth1 just released.
This is a sequel soundbank I had released 5 years ago, 'Hypnotic Sylenth1'.
So It's basically same with original soundbank.
And still, Very Hypnotic Sylenth1 is focused on Ambient.
Not IDM, Not Chillout... just Ambient.
*Specifics
- 50 Presets in one soundbank, contains 20 Atmospheres, 16 Pads, 9 Keys, 5 Basses.
- All presets assigned to Modulation Wheel.
- Modulation Wheel was programmed for morphing sound, it's not controls just cutoff frequency, So It makes sound more dramatic.
