  • San Francisco recommended venues, shops etc. for ambient musicians

    Hi guys
Travelling to San Francisco in march, can any of you recommend stuff there? Have two weeks ( though with wife and two Tweens ( niece and nephew)).
Please give all kinds of input 😝

I moved away from the Bay Area almost a decade aga, so my knowledge of venues is dated. But for a synth shop, you might want to check out Robotspeak: http://robotspeak.com
If you drive down to San Jose, you might find the Tech Museum interesting for the family: http://www.thetech.org

Of course, you should take the family to Fisherman's Wharf for the restaurants and other attractions there. From the wharf area, you can also stroll to Ghirardelli Square and catch a cable car and ride to Chinatown, etc.

If you are historically inclined, you can take a short boat ride and go on a tour of the old prison on Alcatraz Island. As far as music venues, I am out of date.

Hope you have a great time there!

            Cheers,
            W.

The list so far ( besides those mentioned above):
Dave Smith Instruments ( if they allow visitors :-)
              Audium ( www.audium.org) - a unique full immersion audio theater/ concert venue !.?
