  • LV-426 - ElectroProg (Seismic Corrosion)

Excerpted from the Everyman Universal Dictionary (2195 Edition):-

    "acid groove (ˈæsɪd ɡruːv)

A channel or ditch-like etching in a solid surface, sometimes caused by secretion of bodily fluids (typically blood) from xenomorphs known to inhabit LV-426, a satellite of Calpamos, in the Zeta Reticuli star system."

This one took 16 weeks (on and off, typically off). Every time I sat down to work on it, I seemed to get an idea for another project. I finally resolved to see it through last weekend.

This one is a little wild, most definitely NOT ambient

Well, that was a blast :D Great fun, some very pokey noises going on. Left some comments on 'cloud too...

You techno hipster you! Modulating your oscillators beyond human comprehension. This is crazy stuff.

It may not be ambient...but those vox choir sounds though! ;)

Nice work from one of our resident techno geniuses.

A little more energetic than my previous track, that's for sure. Thanks very much for the listen and the comments, Mike. Glad you liked it

          Techno hipster indeed

I layered a RedTron and Ultrasonique to get that phasing effect on the choir. The acid is all from Sytrus, naturally. I just uploaded a new version to SoundCloud (with a little extra modulation in the chillout section).

The next track is underway now, and with a much darker vibe than this. It might even feature a new synth, if I can figure it out in time.
