Here is some loopy reconstruction featuring a degree of self-plagiarism. I stole a 3-note motif from one of my earlier pieces, and constructed another quasi-ambient setting for it. I noticed a not entirely unexpected inconsistency in the rendering behaviour of EnergyXT, but managed to incorporate its effect into the track with positive results. This one is less "edgy" than other 2016 tracks, and may even get a Bandcamp EP release in the near(ish) future.

The percussion is Superior Drummer and Tremor. It's an unlikely combo, but I think it works. I have seen people stating that Tremor has a "harsh" aggressive sound, but I think that is something of a generalisation. It can be made to sit comfortably in genres other than the obvious dance-oriented styles. I want to try pairing it up with Microtonic using volume automation on the multi-outs to mix things up a little. It has to be worth a shot.

Here is the June 2022 remix/master of Paraxial, ready for release on a forthcoming Whatsisname album coming in May. All changes to the mix here were cosmetic, and concerned only with panning, EQ and levelling, although I replaced B2 with IK CSR, and replaced the original IK EQs with EQuivocate. My comment in the original post regarding a release in the near(ish) future turned out to be hopelessly optimistic.
