Divide And Conquer - 2013 Remix

Originally from March 2010, This is the fourth remix of this track. I tweaked some reverbs, separated more drum tracks, tweaked panning and EQ, adjusted levelling and some automation, added FerricTDS to the master bus and mastered in T-Racks3. This was my most complex arrangement at the time I made the original track and probably remains so. Contains Ambient, House, Trance, Prog, Shoegaze elements and has variously been labelled as ethnic, evocative, head-spinning, mysterious, confusing, cool, epic, tense, heavy, dense, calm, ravey, etc. I have omitted unprintable descriptors in the interests of brevity and decency.

You have been warned.



It certainly isn't subtle ;)

What a ride!!! No need to warn us by now...I know a seismic1/whatsisname track when I hear it. And I love it!!!! Such a journey this one is. Hard to believe you can pull all these elements together and keep it not only coherent but the flow remains intact. Amazing work on pulling everything together. Again, I don't know how you do it. But what I hear I like very much...really excited for the album to come out now!!!

It's a little odd really. Although this is quite dense, the music for this one came together really quickly. I think the original writing/recording took about 11 hours. The 4 subsequent remixes totalled about 24 hours and were quite tricky. Hopefully I can put this one to bed now.

Now I have to complete my 2010/2011 remix project (11 more tracks), and then the fun starts with the new material. I have about 800 pieces on my hard disk to start assembling. Where to start :eek: And then there is the drone piece. I'm thinking of using that as a 4-6 minute intro for a much longer Berlin-school TD-style piece I have a few sections written for. Decisions, decisions.
