  • Axis Part 2 (ElectroProg - Seismic Continuation)

After over 3 years of procrastination, prevarication and postponements, Axis Part 2 has completed it's difficult birthing and has been dropped in a caring and thoughtful way onto a disbelieving and flabbergasted internet. Father and offspring are as well as can be expected after some extravagantly exxagerated celebrations.

Here are some rav[e|ing] reviews from a typical cross-section of dissatisfied and foolish consumers:-

    "Glug-glug" - Weirkeepers weekly
"Buckle down and get serious, boy" - Knacker's Journal
"I'd stake my life on this being an unmitigated disaster" - Thimblerigger's Times of Olde London Towne

Armed with these unequivocal encouragements I present to you my latest folly - Axis Part 2 - another in an occasional series of ambient drive-by techno hi-jackings.

No 'trons were harmed in the making of this canine repast.

This is GOOD. Well worth the wait, IMO. Love how lush certain sections are...and the overall progression is fantastic.

    Awesome work!

    Cheers,

Thanks very much for listening and for the compliment, havdis. I'm just listening to Silent Dawn at the moment. I think I first encountered your music 5 or 6 years ago via a thread on KVR. Good to catch up with you again

I used to be apprehensive about using this type/amount of reverb on tracks with techno components. I'm much more relaxed about it these days.

Thanks for taking a listen, Andy. Glad you liked it I was quite apprehensive about posting this one. Probably because it's more of a genre-mash than usual. It seems to have worked itself out.

Thanks for taking the time to listen to this misdirected musical meandering I hope any scarring will be merely temporary, but you never know

Here is the 2022 remix of Axis Part 2. I thought the reverb on the original track was too much, particularly in the lower frequencies, and so replaced some of the B2 instances with CSR Room, which had the additional benefit of freeing up memory usage in my 32-bit project. I updated the EQ settings and re-levelled the track. I mastered using T-Racks 5. All ready for the next album.

                        I hope you enjoy it
