  • Sandbite - Happiness Through Loudness

    Hi everyone,

Here's a new lo-fi/noisepop track I've released as Sandbite. The release also features a new version of an old CSCD track (Weather the Storm) which I feel fits much better with Sandbite's concept. Hope you enjoy this raw and noisy stuff!

I was a bit weary because of the noisepop label, which usually means drums, but I was pleasantly surprised! This is actually not too far from some of my own work.

        Well done!

Thank you guys, glad you like it! Speaking of drums, fear not: I don't even own a drum machine at the moment Seriously though, I'm not a huge fan of prominent drum parts myself - even if I use them, they are usually tucked away pretty far in the mix. I've been listening to lots of Astrobrite - a great example of using drums as a non-intrusive textural element imo. Check them out if you haven't!

I don't even know what noise pop is haha!

Yeah, raw this may be but I do find it quite pleasant to listen to and, being a death metal fab, I listen to stuff a lot noisier than this

              Nice job

Truth be told, I don't know what it is either! I labelled the first few tracks of Sandbite as that, and only then learned it was actually a thing, haha. Looks like lots of lo-fi/shoegaze acts fit the bill.
As I've said in one of the other threads, my playlist is mostly sludge, post-metal, stoner rock and (weirdly enough) celtic punk. So yeah, I enjoy noise and sloppiness in music
