  • Yesterdays pinhole camera missions was a failure... I was glad for the weather was bad. Heavy clouds, rainy morning, gray... I extended the shutter time 2 seconds. But the result was totally underexposed. Unfortunately we have great weather today. I was hoping for more a more gray weather.

    • They're great G_S, you'll never be short of dark ambient cover art again.
Latest release: never to be repeated

        Right!
Took one (okay two) today and made a patch. Analog photo, analog synth... Now I have a design for a wooden pinhole camera
in my head. Maybe I by some wood tomorrow.... Tea caddy works fine, but a stable wood piece hmmm

I understand you, I also like to photograph the night sky, it fascinates me. In addition, I recently found these wonderful tips http://fixthephoto.com/blog/retouch-...photoshop.html
Although the weather often brings me down too!

          • Slow progress in my wooden pinhole camera build... Christmas get priority over camera construction.

            • And not just a wooden pinhole camera in progress... For some days I have had my eyes on an anchovy can, lying in the kitchen.
It yelled to me. "Make a pinhole camera out of me!"
              Fisheye camera :-)
              Very short focal length.

              • I think anchovies are an acquired taste. although I can handle them, especially on pizza

                • My favorite pizza is anchovies, onions, and italian sausage; I call it the "Bad Breath Special"

                  • First shot with my anchovycancam :-) Just that name. Is that the correct spelling - "anchovy"?
The picture was taken in the conservatory (had NO idea of what "uterum" was in English!!!)
It was dark outside. Shuttertime just above 1h.
I'm also trying the wooden cam. Had it standing for 3h.
                    Needs much longer time...
Pinhole cameras with photo paper have long "shutter" times.
When it's bright sun light and outdoors about 30s
and in the "conservatory" (sound so posh), dark outside and soft light, maybe 6h.
                    Depending on the aperture...

                    • I'm also a keen photographer, though lately I haven't been out as much as I used to with my camera. My main interests are in wildlife, abstracts, macros, and skies.
This was a macro of a hydrangea taken in my back garden - using a cheap set of extension tubes with a 60mm macro lens to get in REALLY close - I didn't see the little insect until I was processing it! https://www.flickr.com/photos/ikjoyce/7562582740/

This one is of a rare weather phenomenon - an 'upside-down rainbow' called a circumzenithal arc - I was so lucky I happened to have my camera with me!
