Is This Ambient?

[Synthetic Aurality]

I know the title almost sounds ike troll bait, but I honestly don't know and would like some input.

I've just finished the first cut at the first track for my concept album "The Feathered Serpent", and I'm unsure exactly HOW to categorize it! Ambient? Soundscape? Ambient soundscape? OMG New-Age?!?!?!

So, soliciting input from those more knowledgeable than I. Soundcloud link:

This isn't a trick to get more listens, I truly am puzzled. My personal feeling is - more soundscape than ambient, and shouldn't go in "Member Releases" but the "Other Music" forum.

I've been tracking that thread.. my concern is that I'm crossing genres and I don't want someone to think this is like Eclipse or Universe Death Clock (two of my dark ambient works).

Maybe it's a mistake to even try categorizing it, I should just put it out there and let everyone decide for themselves.. argh.. urgh.
