I've got one and I'm a bit hamfisted with it still, but it's been a lot of fun! It's great for drones and making your guitar sustain indefinitely (as long as you don't move the Ebow).https://steemit.com/@jasonvincion - home.

I use an ebow a lot on my basses. Yes they do take a bit of getting used to but well worth the effort. I would argue with the idea of not moving it. You can get different tones by moving it up and down the string, mellow to harsh over the pickup. I use mine with harmonizer and octave pedals which produces some lovely chords from a single note. I'm sure you'll have seen lots of videos on YT. Here's one of mine.

First, the sound is nothing short of amazing. There is no way I would have guessed this is a bass!
Second, that pedalboard is scary.. wow..so many pedals..
Fantastic stuff, looks like Sweetwater is going to get more of my money Friday.. thanks for posting!!!Home Page: http://www.syntheticaurality.com/

You, on the other hand, are doing some beautiful work with it!

Thanks for sharing this video. Truly a beautiful sound. If you don't mind me asking, what harmonizer and octave pedals are you using?

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. Much appreciated.
truthiscolor For that track I used an EHX Micro POG and EHX Pitch Fork. The POG obviously gave the dry and upper octave and I think the Pitch Fork was tuned to a 5th up and down. I have a Boss PS-6 now which gives lovely three part chords from one note but that can be a bit glitchy from time to time.
jvincion Stick in there with it. Like anything you'll get the results with practice. Allow yourself to make the mistakes, that's what we learn from.

I use mine a lot.
Subtle movements can greatly influence the process.

I'l be ordering mine tomorrow. Christine goes into the shop Monday for pickup replacement, so the eBow should arrive right about when Christine's mods are done.
I do expect a learning curve! Let the silly noises begin!

eBow ordered. Can't wait! I wonder what would happen if I put a Fishman Triple Play on my axe and hit it with the eBow? Hmmm...Home Page: http://www.syntheticaurality.com/

BassBus Oh, I will! I've got ideas for future music that require using the Ebow, so I'll keep working with it until I get there.https://steemit.com/@jasonvincion - home.
