that's kind of how I mix. I usually don't eq and make space for elements--I kind of like how things obscure and blur . Of course, it also often makes for poor mixes, but...well....

Well, I'm using eq in order to make space for elements but if it works for you then why not (your music sounds good so it definitely works). ;)
