Hello. Last year, you may remember that I released an album called Symphony for prepared dryer, in which I ran an old dryer with various household objects and manipulated those sounds, much like what we've done in the one sample dare challenges. It wasn't until some months after this album was released that I found out about these challenges and started participating.
I got the idea of asking people in the group if they'd like to use the samples from the original project as source material for tracks and we can jointly create the deluxe edition of the album, reimagined by various artists. This would be released under creative commons and I'd like to release it on the petryglyph site where the original album is. Unlike the challenges, I wouldn't say that it's necessary to document how you arrive at your track but personally, I enjoy reading all those sorts of details, it's just something I probably wouldn't include all that info in the album release unless people wanted me to.
Anyway, it's just an idea that I had and if you'd like to have a go at working iwth one or more of the samples, let me know and I can either just send you the documentary that i created as a whole file or send you just the bits with the dryer samples themselves. Thank you for considering the idea and I may even take another go at the samples myself since i've learned a good bit from the challenges.
