According to the rules you can submit as many entries as you wish. So no problem there.

        Great

        Process :
At first for this ambient contest I wanted to make a tribute to Burzum, to the Dunkeilheit track particulary (from the Filosofem album), dope song !
So for this short piece I decided to play the main synth riff with just the meows from the original sample with beatsteppro to vocasample then through 2 kaosspads ( Mod 3 on Pro, Program 72 on mini ), other things are "classic" fx (rotary, manual reverse reverb, eq, comp, pitch, lowpass...) on DAW

Looking forward to write you all some words about your different tracks.

          Here's mine:

Track 1: I took two 30-second clips from the original, panned them hard left & right in Reason, and then ran it through an Audiobulb Ambient preset.

Track 2: I took the "meow" sample, time stretched it 50x in Paul Stretch, sequenced a melody with it in Reason, panned it hard left, and then ran it through a different Audiobulb Ambient preset.

Track 3: Same as the above, but panned it hard right and ran it through the same Audiobulb Ambient preset as track 1.

          I hope you enjoy!

            My entry.

I used only a couple of seconds of the clip and loaded it into Reaktor's Skanner XT and played the main voice track in a single take. I then took a 1-2 second snippet from that track and created two 'background' tracks that used the clip stretched out (with my Studio One 3 DAW) to the length of the whole piece. One of these tracks was then reversed. The two background tracks with run through the Diffuse reverb plugin. Some mid/side equalization was then done on the whole mix.

I Know the is 2 days left, but here is a lil note for each
track, in order to help me voting the track I appreciate
the most and spend some more words with you about our
work, So I share this lil ideas I had with us-all; authors.
It is only related to my personal tastes, what talks to
me, do not want to offend anyone, When I point out a lack
of something It's only to share what a listener (or
another) could feel and it's just what's speaks to my
              feelings.
Feedback also apreciated for my track... for sure

              Jason Vincion - Catatonic Digestion
              5:16
Great synth sounding for cold & technologic drones. +1
Nice stereo and crackles over it. +1
Little pleasant crescendo on low frequencies. +1
Fade out seems a little short

              Codehead - Evening Hush
              6:38
Made crickets out of a cat ^^ +1
Two slight different parts on the track +1
Was into it, lost my attention on the 2nd listening +1
              Quite sharp ending

              Ahornberg - Eternity
              9:40
starts with an SOS shout, it lays the foundation of a dark
atmosphere with something a bit in the urge or in danger
              +2
10 mins lenght to develop it, to allows me to dive into,
              that's generous. +1
Not the perfect ending of a trak, an "It was too short"
              feeling is there

Boson Spin - Elektro Kitties luv Kibble
              6:13
I feel sometime that making an ambient track without a
huge amound of time-fxs is a challenge, this one bring us
near the sound, instead of been away, instead of staying
at the end of the spaceship we are on the control-room,
              love it +3
              Fade-out feels like a fade-out.

Lotka Volterra - The WIld Hunt
              3:59
Nice stereo on the little crackles, percussives and other
              sounds +1
The arrangement / the score evolves and vary a lot through
              the track, very interesting +2
Split between drone and dry sounds at the end, but I feel
              it like an end.

gis_sweden - Kittens Of Doom Eating Poisened Rat
              1:52
Sounds like a March and Metal sometimes +1
Nice arrangement, especially for the 2nd half ! (Crescendo
              / Silence / again) +1
Nice ending with the pitch down ^^ +1

Will write down some other ideas later

Hi, after a little hiatus, here a new entry of mine:

Aural Solace - Sadness & Hope

In this track I especially experimented with Eventide's Octavox.
Unfortunately I don't remember everything, since I started the track over a week ago.
I used Granite at very low speed to create two samples of 1 minute. I think I used the meow part as source, but I'm not sure.

Those samples were used as base in Reaper, used on 3 tracks, with Octavox on 3 of them, enabling and disabling voices. The melodies you hear are achieved by intervall automation.

Then I also used the plain sample without the meow part, playing back forward and backward.

Other effects used were The Drop, MFilter, MAutopan, Cableguys Panshaper

On two busses there were VVV and Echoboy, used by 3 of the 4 tracks.

No Paulstretch this time for me.

Gotta do something about getting my notifications straight- I didn't even realize we were on to #51 until surfing SC today!
Anyway, here's mine- shorter, kinda quiet- but throw on some phones and it will make sense: https://soundcloud.com/duckettl/neutrino-puddles.
Started off by grabbing the meow, and some shorter, differently timed loops of kibble rattles and crunches; routing those to some FX sends (reverbs like Ambience and delays like NastyDLA), automating wet/dry envelopes, rendering those.
Grabbed some more bits and pieces, copied some renders, and applied Valhalla FreqEcho, ckpitchshifter, and some stereo processing to add 3 more tracks, repeated these processes w/ tweaks to end up with 8 tracks. Limiting as to bring it out for speakers made headphone listening a wee overwhelming, so brought it back down.
"Critics can’t stand these records, by and large, because in their search for eternal adolescence, they still want it all to be spunky and manic and witty."
                      -Brian Eno

SoundCloud playlist updated. I'm also working on a track myself, but I need to spend a bit more time on it to bring it together. Wound you mind postponing the deadline a day or two?

I don't mind in principle, it's just I'm away for a week after tonight and not sure what web access I'll have. I'll ask another mod if they can start the poll later or else you may find this challenge open for another week.

I don't know about everyone else, but I wouldn't mind if we waited another week or so for the poll
