For those of you who might have missed this on podcast#18 (shame on you :razz
, here's a link to my latest track.
'Contemplation' will be track one on my forthcoming LP (working title: 'Journeys Within') which will be exploring different means of 'mind-expansion'.
For anyone who might be interested in this kind of thing:
the track is a mixture of Generative (the strings/pads were composed using Nodal) and Improvisation (the guitar part and bassline were each recorded in a single pass). The percussion was MicroTonic through Permut8 (hey seismic1 - looks like great minds think alike ;) ...and btw thanks for the comment on the 'cloud, most kind) and another layer of MicroTonic>Permut8>QuadFrohmage. I also chained all of the MicroTonic patterns together, and made one of the patterns an odd number of beats, so that the cycle repeat was less predictable, and never occurred on a bar line, making it a bit 'restless'.
The 'edit' in the title refers to the brutal removal of over 3 minutes of music to make it fit Podcast requirements ( only kidding, it just gets going a bit quicker and finishes off less gradually).
Hope you like - any and all comments will be most welcome
