  • Intro Spectral - the Weird Side of the Mundane - 2012/10/01

Hello! This is a link to my début album. I am pretty proud of it, since there where a lot of hardship and doubts involved in the process at various stages

    http://intro-spectral.bandcamp.com/

"The Weird Side of the Mundane" is my début album. A sonic exploration through hidden worlds afloat on a metaphysical plane.

Designed and crafted to be a continuous experience where each track is a part of the one before and together they paint a both abstract and very personal picture.

Thinking of this album in terms of "Music" in a traditional sense would not be recommended. Rather approach it as a collage of sound. Let your mind wander and just accept the weirdness of it all and you may very well be rewarded with a experience unlike most other.

Nothing weird about any of that. Very interesting and very much, as you say, a collage of sound. IMO -- difficult to let the mind wander, though, since the sounds you've created are highly structured and not very fuzzy. Not a lot of wiggle room for wandering. Seems like a lot of work went into sound design. Some of those sounds are very very groovy. Great work and yes you should be proud. Peace

Thank you!! Glad you found it interesting, It was a very interesting process crafting it Sound-design is basically what it is all about here (from my point of view) and it is also my great passion.
I am working on the second album as we speak, and this one seems to be a bit more calm and centred.. but one can never know where the sounds may wander of to

Also I intended "Weird" as a positive term, rather than a way of excusing the music ;)

LOL. When something is labelled 'weird' it's the first thing I go for. What you and probably many others would call 'weird' either in a positive or negative sense is what I call 'The Edge'. On The Edge is where IMO all the interesting things are happening and it's most certainly where my muse resides.

        Peace

            Just had a listen...

I really liked it. What I found amazing was how GOOD it sounded to me. Excellent sound quality and I'm a huge fan of glitchy noises...you had me right there. "Layers" was nice, as was the last one..."Lost in Rain."

Again, really great stuff!!! Very glad you found our site.

            Cheers,

Thank you! I am glad you like it! I was kind of uncertain and hesitant to go down this road, because I have never heard anything like it and it is a somewhat strange sound... Like I thought "How am I going to play this to my parents without them thinking I have gone mad or plunged into some serious drug-habit" :P In the end it worked out fine though.
I am glad I found it too.

One problem I had was where to share this music to people whom might enjoy it, because I think it is somewhat demanding music, and most people today don't seem to have the patience when there ain't no "Drop". So I thought.. where can I hope to find people that are open to listening to new and unusual sounds that tell a tale of strange wonders? ;) Plus, Ambient has always been my no1 musically fetish so... :P
