Hey guys, here is a new piece that I'd love everyone's thoughts on. It is private because I do not want it released to the world yet.

But I really would value all your onions/opinions.

And screw youtube for distorting the bass :(

Ha that may be why no one has commented.

        How about now?

I have no onions for this piece, but I like it. Expressive piano works are always one of my favorites. The halting presentation gives me the impression of indecisiveness, which is nice, and the reverb seems well suited. Very enjoyable.

This is the way I enjoy listening to piano...sustained and reverbed! All the way up.

Agreed with Duffage, nice presentation and composition.

            Great work! :D

              Thanks guys.
I never thought of the halting as indecisiveness. I like that idea though

Maybe indecisiveness was the wrong word, but it seemed to me that you were playing "on the fly" and were searching for the next phrase/notes to play. That's not a bad thing!

Really very nice! I love the way you let the reverb tail off and allow a space of silence before starting afresh with the next phrase. It makes the silence as much a part of the composition as the notes.

Thank you. That's the intention - silence AND music.
I'm glad it gives that feeling = goal achieved.
                      Thanks

I just woke now and jumped on here and saw your post.

Piano is my most favorite instrument as I have always been very impressed
....of how much someone can achieve the goal of switching from sorrow to joy in an instant.

I will do a short review on this later on.

                        Thanks for sharing RikkiSho :tu:

Review on "New Tune" by Rikkisho

I am just listening to your piano piece now and I think its really interesting & lovely to listen to. Such a pleasant little song. The piano keys appear lonely or sad but beautifully charming to. I also enjoy the little spaces in between the different phrases or groups of the piece.

Maybe you had that in mind rather than just playing without any real thought or plan to have them. But the spaces at the end of a group of keys really work. Like there is a different story being played in each group of keys. It is also the kind of piano piece that I could listen to a lot, because it feels different each time I hear it. That's what it doe's for me.

The piano keys are beautifully played & delicately touched to like different points of pressure is added. It also makes me feel that you have a particular passion for piano or at least that's what I sense, especially the various keys at the beginning of 0:46 & ending at 1:00, very well played. That's what caught my attention when I first listened to it, that you played relaxed & fluent at the same time.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful track
....it to was a real pleasure writing about it :tu:

                              Wow.
I always thought I gave detailed feedback. You've just knocked any feedback I've given right out the water. That was an amazing review to read and clearly you enjoyed writing it as much as I enjoyed reading it.

I do love the piano, probably my 3rd favourite instrument, 2nd being violin, 1st being the harp. And I do use the piano a lot.

I like your idea that each "grouping" of notes tells a story.

Thank you so much for such a detailed review.
                              Rikki :D
