  • overview - for female voice (choir)

https://soundcloud.com/greghooper/overview My son's girlfriend kindly sang for me a couple of weeks ago and I constructed this piece using her voice, a convolution reverb, valhalla room, and eq on about 3 secs of it.

Great piece with deep atmosphere. I'm impressed :listening:

And from technical side: what convolution reverb you have used for this?

      Nicely done.

From a sound design point of view, Inspiring.

I still use Perfect Space, must be 10 years old and probably the only 32bit plugin I still use - I've got the Melda Multiband one as well but I don't like the interface as much. I keep promising myself I'll switch over to the Melda which is much more sophisticated but in the end convolution is just simple maths so anything would do. All I ever change is the length of the impulse. My favourite big spaces are from jez wells http://www.jezwells.org/ and damian murphy http://www.space-net.org.uk/node/50/

Actually you have inspired me to look at the melda again and i think it does look worth becoming my main convolution processor - now to find the manual

Awesome work, Greg. Stunningly beautiful to listen to and forget about "stuff" for 18 minutes. I had to listen twice.

A great piece of music
