I watched Forbidden Planet last night, and thus was inspired: meet Black Sun!

No, NOTHING was lifted from the movie soundtrack - by using screaming crowd noises and the sound of an earthquake, the crowd screams run through Molekular "Spectral Jitters" and the quake through Dr. Device "Welcome to Dr Device", I was able to - almost entirely by accident - get THE sound.
The rest is an instance of Reaktor 5 "Alien Sweeper" w/ Filterstation, and an instance of Alchemy "Metallurgy - Flanged Nightmare" through MMultibandDelay.
