Electric Guitar/Mandolin Lush Soundscape (Recorded yesterday)
So undeniably gorgeous. I long to make music like this!
Right now I've got my eyes fixated on the Strymon pedals as I believe if I start there, I'll be able to branch out and start working with my guitar in my own ambient music more.
Was there a reason why you went with the El Capistan over the TimeLine? Also, it looked like the reverb you were using was the Korg pedal...although I couldn't tell from the video.
Anyway, back to your track...what a beautiful melodic (but short) journey that was. Thank you so much for sharing!

Thanks! Yeah, you can't go wrong with the Strymon pedals. The amount of detail and variation in their tones is beautiful. I personally chose the El Cap over the Timeline for two reasons: I only really wanted Tape delay (I'm not big on analog delays) and it was $150 cheaper! I do like that the Timeline has presets though. The El Cap doesn't have presets although you can get a Favorite Switch which allows you to store one of your favorite settings (like I could keep a setting for "swells", for example).
As for reverb, currently I am using the Hardwire RV7 for that (the Korg is my tuner). It is an okay reverb pedal but I am looking into the Strymon Blue Sky or a new pedal called the Liquid Ambience. It looks pretty awesome. Check out this demo of it:
