This is not entirely ambient, or maybe it is, I don't know... I'll let you be the judges.

From the liner notes:
"This album is yet another result of the ongoing collaboration between my uncle and personal photography teacher Domenico "Sem" Semeraro and me. His beautiful photo of a seemingly abandoned pier on a misty day generated this album of cinematic and ambient music, and it was the mental and emotional map for it. Once again, his talent guided me through unusual territories. I think this album will be particularly effective if you lie down, turn off the lights and create a film in your head. The story? You decide, it's your film "

Thank you I still haven't listened to it (it takes quite a while before I can listen to something as a listener, as opposed to the author), so I'm glad to hear it seems to work

I know what you mean - I often wish I could hear my tracks totally objectively. When I'm mixing, I'm never sure whether I'm hearing a particular detail because I've got the mix right, or because I know it's there and my subconscious is picking it out for me

I completely agree with that too. The creator can never hear their music as a non-informed listener might. But if they can, then that is the sign of some good stuff.
