Advance apologies for just dumping this here...
(I've re-posted this in the hope that the link will be fixed)
I've had a go at putting together an ambient piece.
It's a bit long, at over ten minutes, and nothing much happens. I've created this much faster than I thought, although I wouldn't say that I've rushed it as such... It's just, well, minimal I suppose, with just five audio tracks (bass drone, two more drones and two guitar noodle tracks).
I created the bass drone by sticking an existing bass guitar recording through that rather marvellous Paul's Extreme Stretching software, which I only found out about while browsing some AO music. The other two drones were new guitar recordings that were also put through the stretchy thing.
As you will hear, plenty of delay and reverb was used (FabFilter Timeless 2 and Breverb 2) and I used a few instances of Tantra (does anyone else use that?) in order to get a kind of beat, or more like throb going.
Total indulgence on my part, and no real skill is shown with respect to my guitar playing (as usual).
I promise to call back later and listen to some music posted by other peeps, as I should
In the meantime, I've got to go and make tea (and leave this tune in the oven too).
cheers
andy
(yep... that appeared to work this time)
**UPDATE**
I have since updated the sound file associated with IRC-20385.
I really didn't like a clicking sound at the start of the track. I only realised afterwards and I found that by altering a setting in one of the Tantra instances got rid of it.
So I have now updated the file which is now also a 24 bit 44.1 kHz WAV file, whereas it was previously a 320kbps MP3 file.
cheers (again)
