I'm sorry I missed it when you first posted - a really pleasant little track. Some of those textures, just lovely! Interesting subtle rhythm too. The only constructive criticism I'll offer is that, to me, some of those melodic washes just swell a little too loud and overpower the other subtleties of the track. However this is subjective and just my opinion! Love your work, Phoenstorm
Those little rhythmic tics are pretty great and I like the resolution of the chords progression (don't know if that makes sense but I mean that the song really has a story).
Thank you guys! Much appreciated! I liked those ominous washes of sound, I'll see whether I can balance it out somewhat. As for the story-like aspect of it - there is a certain call-and-response pattern to the melodic lines, I wanted this to be a sort of "beginning" for a narrative - I plan a series of shorter tracks sharing the same mood, but developing...so if this feels like it's telling a story, I'm very happy!
I really like this piece! The sounds you've used are very complementary. And you have some very subtle and delicate phrasing (particularly after 2:13).
I realise my comment on SC was somewhat vague and was meaning to expand on it.
I really liked the way the track progressed too, like there is a meaning to the phrases. And also the sounds seem all to have a purposes. I also listened to your other tracks and there is something connecting them. Nice!
I could listen to another ten minutes of this!. As mariosprt says, every sound has a purpose. Its mood is so sad and longing. Something has been lost, something dear, something beautiful.
