  • Duckett's "Placeholder" track finally uploaded!

An idea that I floated around here back in mid-December has finally found its chance to happen:

A track specifically created for AO, which has "Placeholder" for a title-
that is, until enough AOans listen, then submit their idea as to what it should be titled,
as a reply to this thread. When a decent range of titles (5-10 or so) has been gathered, then
they will then be put up for a vote, and the winner not only gets to name the track,
but will receive an extra lil' goody from yours truly ;)

Happy listening, can't wait to see what you all think of!

Let's come up with a name for Duckett's track!

    Thanks for doing this.

This is a great, soothing track, but I must say that I found the end to be a little jarring. There's a nice tail happening, and it just | ends.

Other than that, I'm honored that you would choose this track to be named by AO members.

Thanks, happy you like it! That's one so far ;) As far as the ending, the original file has a nice smooth tail- I was surprised to see the waveform
showing it cut off like that; I can only surmise the soundcloud gremlins were at work..

Mmm... maybe I would call it "under-ego" or "minimum constants", hehe
About the tale I know that soundcloud sometimes cuts it without any motive.

It has a sweeping grandeur...I'd name it after a sci-fi character associated with an epic tale. Maybe "Seldon's Suite", or "Ender's End". Or not, I don't know...!

It reminds me of sci-fi from the beginning, like ho66it suggests. I have to think about 2001: a space odyssey.

I would call it 'entrance to the hall'.

Btw, it sound great, I really like spacey ambient.

Damn! This is a nice track. Very sci-fi indeed. I agree with Dax that it ends rather abruptly leaving th listener suspended for the second part But great anyway.
As for a title, how about "cosmic gas cloud"?

WavTrauma or, taking a lead from h0661t, Orson's Cot Guard.

This was a lovely soundscape with nice evolving tones. Very enjoyable.

                Good work
