  • Attigua - new Berlin School album :)

I've just released a new Berlin School album, two long tracks I poured a lot of myself into. Hope you will like it

    https://macofbionight.bandcamp.com/a...ssic-em-vol-29

From the liner notes, about the two tracks:

"Empire of Thieves: Italy. This country is exactly that, the thieves are the inhuman politicians who have the power. They don’t care what happens to the people, they don’t care about the hunger, the suicides out of desperation, the pain, the fear; all they care about is the money they can take from us. They are killing a country that could have been beautiful and happy. I just hope fate will give each one of them the horrible, painful death they fully deserve.

    --------

Sometimes I perceive there is something else, a sort of alternate possibility, a different existence created by different choices, an alternate dimension, something or someone I could be but I am not. It’s a thin wall, a barely visible layer that separates me from that different reality. It’s an adjacent room I can hear sounds coming from but can’t really see...
Attigua is an Italian word that means “adjacent”. It’s not just one of my favorite words - purely because of its sound - but also the perfect title for this track that describes the odd certainty of an adjacent reality."

    Great work as always Mac.

Strangely, I was reading a piece about Roberto Savianos (guy who wrote the mafia expose 'Gomorrah') claims that Britain is the most corrupt in the world. It's everywhere...
Latest release: never to be repeated

Thanks, Gary The problem here is that it's not even corruption anymore, it's just the politicians taking people's money openly... just let me give you one example: taxes have become so high and the government so ruthless in collecting them regardless of the situation that we've already had dozens of suicides of small company owners not because their companies go bankrupt due to lack of work or wrong decisions, but because the taxes take all they own. Taxes here can go as high as 72%!! No profit is possible, and after a while no way to pay suppliers is possible, so debts grow and grow and grow till one decides the only way out is to take his own life. And you know what happens afterwards? The government wants the money from the widow.
But what about the politicians? Among many other things, they get a pension after just a few years of "work" (as little as five), they get it for life and it can range from 5000 to 25,000 (25,000, it's not a typo) euros a month each. Of course the people protested, so they voted on a law to eliminate that absurd privilege, and guess what? Surprise surprise! The law didn't pass, so they still have their pensions. Most common people's pensions range from 400 to 1000 euros a month (just so you have a parameter, the rent for a small apartment here is 450 to 700 euros). What a nice country.

Yeh I did. But took it down as I never really agreed with how I worded it. Sorry about that. Is just me being a damn perfectionist again as per

On a final note. Well a long time ago I asked someone in here something about a particular track they did regarding the fm or frequency modulation they had used in a track and I was fascinated by the certain sound in it and wanted to know what it was, so naturally I asked and they told me and then lead them to paste in a link of a band from the 70s/80s. The music was absolutely mind blowing and I have searched my past posts through and through for the name of this band. But can't for the life of me find the post stating the link. I think I remember that 'sleepers' was part of the name of the band. The music was awesome with this like really deep spacey humming sound rolling through it and it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. You know that kind of feeling when a track creates a kind of emotional pillow in the tummy. Anyway its not a very good description I know, but maybe someone in here could know of the band I am talking about and paste in a link.

              Cheers :tu:
