  • New Album: Become The Sea Itself

This is my first album of ambient music. Really enjoying working in the genre . Hope I got it right with the Bandcamp link :s

      Thanks

Photo taken by Dudley Hubbard a while ago . He went on to be a pro photographer for the British Museum, amongst others. Had a good eye back then.

I really dig this. Ambient with just enough noise to give it a spicy spacey edge....nice work!

Thanks. I like it to be a bit on the edgy side. The conundrum is always to know how much of the human element (i.e. mistakes) to leave in and how much to edit out. I don't wanna sound like a machine, but........

I've just put this up on Nimbit on a name-your-price basis, if anyone's interested.......

Decided to go the whole hog and release this album on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify etc etc. It's out today, just in time for all those of you desperate to come up with an Xmas pressy idea for those you love (or don't as the case may be). I anticipate the usual droves of customers

Cool video footage Tony... Where did you get that?

OF course, the music is very pleasing too ;)

Fraid it's all very simple. Just capturing a player (winamp) visualization then putting it together in movie maker.

Dunno if there's a thread here somewhere where we can share tips and ideas on video making. I've had a quick look but couldn't find anything. Anyone know of one?

I've thought of doing the old music player video capture myself but wasn't quite sure how that would work, from a copyright angle. So I never bothered.

This is one that I created to go along with my M81 track:-

For that I created some time lapse photography with my GoPro pointed up to the sky in my back garden. I then used some effects within the video package I was using.

Marginally better than watching a still graphic for eight minutes...

                            Yeah, nice vid andy.

I dunno, but I can't imagine there'd be a copyright issue. The software generates patterns based on the music input, as far as I understand it, so.....

A quick web search revealed nothing useful. Thoughts anyone?

Just been reading the Winamp forum. Will read more, but so far I see no copyright issue with using visualizations.
