My contribution to the mini key synth challenge of the german synth forum sequencer.de:

the idea was to create a track using one (and only one!) synth with mini keys (e.g. microKorg, Roland Boutiqe, etc.). The forum members were asked to vote for their favourite track and also asked to guess, which synth was used in which track. The secrets were revealed today (2016-11-16) short after midnight.

This track ist pure microKorg and Valhalla Room ("Hobbs End").

Wonderful piece; itsounds like FM synthesis to me in sections (I am not a synthesis expert and am usually wrong).

I'm sorry... only triangle waves (without sync or RM). The FM like sound may come from the intensive reverb.

I know what ontol means, re FM, but, as Stefan says, must be the reverb.

I must confess, that I had the track already prepared, when the challenge was announced... It was an experiment with the microKorg´s arpeggiator and lots of reverb, just to see, how that sounds. But my wife liked it, so I thought about sharing it on SC. And at that time, the challenge was announced... I just had to remove a quite drastic effect (Valhalla space modulator), because only reverb and delay were allowed to make it easier to guess the synth.
