  • New music from S1gns Of L1fe - "Equinox"

    https://soundcloud.com/s1gnsofl1fe/equinox

"Equinox: the two annual periods when the sun crosses over the earth's equator either north to south or south to north, thereby making a day and a night of equal length: an unusual circumstance given the planet's tilt. The spring (or vernal) equinox is on March 21 or 22, and the autumn equinox on September 22 or 23. In other terms: the two periods when the ecliptic crosses the celestial equator."

For me, this track is more than just a crossing over, it's a rebirth. This track is dedicated to all of you who have supported me and been with me through this journey. Especially those of you here on ambient online. This is my home on the web, I consider you all good friends, and I wouldn't have it any other way. You guys are the best. :D Thank you for everything. :tu:

    As always, cheers and enjoy!

This clearly has the 'S1gns 0f L1fe' trademark all over it, starting from the first note.

I guess I'm not the only one who's looking forward to a release of this on your next ep?

I could picture this being used as music on a contemporary nature documentary. Especially considering you're into hiking and photography, such things can inspire each other in subtle ways.

I really like this, S1gns. It has a very "full" sound, with the bass complementing both the percussion and the pads very well indeed. Booom

Indeed, but my next release will not be an EP, I'm aiming for a slightly longer time frame and a full LP. This is only the beginning. Expect some purely soundscape tracks in there too just like in Language of the Ancients.

          Thanks Dirk!

You know, that's interesting. I've never actually thought of my music as "soundtrack" music before but that is certainly a marketable angle. I just haven't met the right movie/film producer and put the two and two together.

            Great suggestion!

Once again, you honed in on one of my main goals in the track and complimented me on it. Much appreciated! Last night before release I spent an hour tweaking and editing that bass...to me, if the track was to sound right, it was the most essential component.

              Thanks Tim!

A cyclic, nature-themed rebirth cycle, infused with a rainy melody. Well, making up words is a necessity at this point.

                  Outstanding as ever.

I really admire how you have a signature sound that you stay true to, yet each of your pieces remains unique to themselves.
