  • S1gns Of L1fe - "Thrush"

Here it is! The one you have been waiting for. Thrush.

This track brings a lot of "firsts" with it. It's the first S1gns Of L1fe track to feature electric guitar. Also, the first S1gns track featuring a vocal sample, this one taken from Alice Meynell's poem "A Thrush Before Dawn" written in 1850.

Finally, as you know, this is the companion piece to my series of tutorial videos. Part 1 is out in the wild and part 2 is on the way. I hope you enjoy this track as much as I enjoyed making it.

The guitar in a S1gns Of L1fe song has been a long time coming...I couldn't have done it without you guys. I even used the "drone" preset in Guitar Rig supplied by IOK-1 in our "Ambient/Drone in Guitar Rig Thread." :tu:

    You guys are amazing.

    Cheers and enjoy,

This is some seriously high-quality stuff!

Your snare glitching and your hats in particular just blew me away.
The song is nearly nine minutes, but listening to it felt like only two or three. I honestly wouldn't at all mind hearing a twenty minute mix of this.

Thank you so much man! I put a lot into these pieces and it's equally rewarding when people like yourself truly connect with them.

Snare glitches and hats are all compliment of Audio Damages Automaton glitching the hell out of a basic hi-hat spray coming from Numerology and it's drum sequencer. It's pretty effective if you're running OS X and enjoy step sequencers like me.

      Cheers and thanks again!
