kiyomizudera is the name of a magnificent temple located in kyoto, japan. the grounds are vast and although filled with the consistent traffic of tourists and temple-goers, there is an overt calmness that lulls throughout the area.
all of the field recordings in the song were taken in various parts of kiyomizudera to provide you with a pseudo-first-hand experience of a walk through the temple.

feedback is always appreciated and encouraged. ^^

    enjoy!

Well, seeing as you put it like that, I had better get my headphones on!

    Nice ambience bu.re_

Would be great if you could put together a video for this with shots from around the temple. Would definitely get a thumbs up from me

cool field recording and music - i visited Kiyomizudera last year - it is such a beautiful place - but then Kyoto is littered with them

thanks! true that! there is such a distinct respect for nature; the well-preserved nature is a far cry from what i grew up in. ^^"

The one thing that seems to be ubiquitous to every country are the night insects.. I can distinctly hear the crickets chirping.. this is some very peaceful music that puts me somewhat in mind of Kitaro.. I am also enjoying the field recordings.. Thank you for posting this!

the irony of that is the field recordings were taken during the day. (^^")
i do agree with what you are saying, though. the chirping insects seem to be the nocturnal ones. although, it was in japan that i heard some insect chirps that i hadn't heard anywhere else. so distinct. i have the recordings on my laptop. gotta find 'em.
thank you for your feedback, and for listening! it means a lot.
