SoundCloud Ambient Group: Modern Ambient

Thanks to Carlos Butler: composer, sound designer, and label manager of my new label Arecibo Records...I am currently enjoying the sounds of his SoundCloud group titled "Modern Ambient." The group features quite a few AO members and is filled with such AMAZING talent that it can only be described as extraordinary!

I don’t quite understand the ‘ambient based on vanguard technologies’’ description, what exactly is vanguard technologies? Several types of synthesis that I know are listed as for examples, but I don’t get that vanguard thing...:dunno:

I think he just means "advanced." Vanguard...sort of like avant garde... is defined as:

van·guard:The foremost or leading position in a trend or movement.

So in that respect, I can dig it!
