  • Nils Frahm

I can't stop repeated plays of these two videos. I listen to Nils Fram and Olafur Arnalds every day [as well as Robert Rich and Lucette Boudins too, but....]
Because I am such a huge fan, I just had to share. If you don't know these guys, then I can only encourage you to get aquatinted with their music.
There are some great interviews as well on youtube and vimeo

    Graham,
Thank you for posting these videos. Although I have viewed them before, it was wonderful to find them here to start my Saturday morning!
I greatly enjoy both of these artist's music. Have you followed the recent Island Songs videos by Olafur Arnalds?
Only dead fish go with the flow.

Yes indeed I have! I don't think there is an album or video I haven't watched or listened to many, many times from both of these guys. I am what you would call a devoted fan.

          Finally!

Managed to put aside some time to watch one of the videos above.

Funny really, because this came about because my wife was listening to a stream from the TeamRock radio station and though I would be interested in some of the music being played. It was an evening where they let a guest artist play music that they liked.

The musician, in this case, was a guy called Tomas Haake. He's the drummer for Meshuggah, an "extreme metal" band from Sweden.

One of the tracks he played was by a guy called Olafur Arnalds.

I didn't twig at first, so when I googled OA's name, and it came up as being associated with Nils Frahm I thought, "wait a minute... That sounds familiar..."

So I came here and checked out this topic and we ended up watching "An evening with..."

          Great watch...

The piano stuff was cool, but when they turned to equipment like the old Oberheim Four Voice and the Korg Polyphonic I was like, "hey... look at that..." at which point my wife kinda glazed over.

          Great watch anyway.

Tried watching the Nils Frahm one but my missus want to hear more Arnalds' stuff instead, which was okay I guess :D

          cheers
