Hi there.
My name is Lloyd Barrett.
I'm a UK born, Australian bred sound artist located in Brisbane.
My background is community radio (Audiopollen) and sound art event curation (Small Black Box, Audiopollen). I've also done a bit of scoring for film, theatre and dance.
I am a fan of live semi-improvised performance and I've performed and worked with the Electrofringe, Other Film and Liquid Architecture festivals.
Currently i'm doing casual Music Technology lecturing and looking after an adventurous toddler. I also have a PhD on AV performance which i'll get back to... soon! :cantlook:

Found out about this site from Numerology forum. Looking for a more sharing productive community than KVR.

Thanks all. Looking forward to exploring. I guess I'd hesitate to call my music ambient in the "mellow" sense of the word, it's maybe a bit too wiggly and prone to juxtaposition. But in the sense of implying the exploration of space i'd say it fits into the lineage of post-industrial ambient soundscapes for the most part.
Aside from this release on Room40 - and a few mixes and tracks on netlabels around the place - most of my music is accessible from the links in my signature.
I used the Secret Killer Of Names moniker for most of the 00's however i'm transitioning to Makrotulpa.

I run a forum where I am the only member and have dozens of accounts where I troll myself. It can get brutal.
