Hi all, I go by the name Loose Link for my music, which dabbles in a fair amount of genres including ambient. For purely ambient work I go by the name Stopscape. I'm also involved in a number of projects and collaborations with other people.
I'm the orgainiser and contributor of a radio mix series called Terminal Radio, which also plays monthly on Fnoob.com (which also hosts shows from Alex Paterson of The Orb, DF Tram, Lady Eve, plus more). The show has been running pretty smoothly for a year now. Fans and musicians of the Future Sound Of London and ambient/IDM music from around the globe are asked to make a 15 minute mix each, Eight of these were collected and mixed together into a 2 hour trip (sometimes past the 3 hour mark) Each volume will feature "eight more alternate universes converging into one super quadaural meta-brain" as I put it. Its a spinoff from a compilation series called Terminal Window, so there's a core group of musicians who rotate throughout the series, and we've also had a pleasure of receiving mixes from the likes of Neotropic, DF Tram, DJ Rich Ears, Seafar, Alan Dougans: the brother of Brian Dougans of the Future Sound Of London, Tim Angrave, Mr. Fnoob plus many more.
I have the entire series up for free to download and stream on my Soundcloud page, plus many other things with alot more coming in the future:
Here's the compilation series Radio spawned from, a few hours of great music in there, we're working on a third volume at the moment:
Also, here's the messageboard both series have originated form, feel free to join up and be apart of it:
Looking to be apart of this community, I've found this board by the way of the Ambient Online podcast that I've listened to a couple of times so far, like what I'm hearing so far
