Hello everyone!

I'm a longstanding KVRAFer who discovered AmbientOnline and I decided to jump on in!

I'm a keyboard player/loop mangler/ex-metal guitarist (heh) that has slowly drifted into soundscape and ambient, and dabble in experimental as well.

This is a nice place.. I think I'll stay a while.

Very cool to have you here. You'll find that many of us are also musicians (and ex metalheads) who eventually found our way to ambient music one way or another. You're in similar company, that's for sure.

Ambient Cow... what a concept!

I just recorded a moo off freesound.org from my work comp's crappy computer speakers into Nanostudio's TRG sampler via the built-in mic of my iPhone 5, low pass filtered it, and drenched it in reverb/delay.

Sounds like a whale lol. band passing and high passing got some interesting things happening for ambience/ethereal drones >.>

I'm sick in the head lol

You seem perfectly normal to me - this weekend I took a cow herd I bought off SoundDogs and loaded it into Alchemy and did some real weird granular stuff to it (smirk).

I don't just abuse animal sound loops (heh)! One of my years goals is to complete a 70 minute ambient album.. pretty much not doing anything else this year (well, except drinking and chatting lol)!
