  • Hello from Germany

    Hello, everyone.

My name is Thomas, I am 32 years old and come from Germany. I found this forum via one member in the KVRaudio forums. I am pretty new to the whole composing world and especially to the ambient part of it. Now I have been a fan of ambient music for a long time but it took me until this year to actually sit down and create my own.

Composing has become a true passion for me and my absolute dream would be working together with some of my inspirations like Mooze, Svartsinn or Nrdvrgr and many more I can't name at the moment. And an even better thing would be if I could put that music into a videogame or any kind of media for people to enjoy. But if that ever happens, I don't know.

So, without further ado, here is my Dark Ambient "setlist"

So far I mainly used Presonus Studio One 2.5 as a host and Kontakt as plugin to play the instruments. The instruments are pretty much only libraries from Synthmagic.

I also plan on doing orchestral music for which I use Eastwest's Hollywood libraries.

I am looking forward to getting to know you guys.

Another KVR transplant! Welcome to the forum.

Checking out your dark ambient mix right good!

I just got back from the "Ambient Music Conference 2014" in Finland where we had a special night of "dark ambient" live performance in downtown Helsinki. It was amazing. Check out this mix from some of the artists who were there...this isn't live, but the live versions are starting to surface!

Cheers to you and we're really glad to have you with us,

Guten Tag Thomas! Having a listen to your music right now - good stuff... My entry into ambient music came about as a result of writing music for our local planetarium. Seeing as you are also a space / astronomy enthusiast, you may want to connect with someone at a planetarium nearby to see if they would be interested in playing your music, or better yet, commissioning you to do a piece for one of their shows...
