Jillian and I live in Seattle. She is a singer/songwriter and I am a professional bassist. Together we compose sound scapes. Our most recent collection is titled Surfacing.

I recently met Chris Bryant in Helsinki, Finland at the Ambicon 2014 conference along with many other notable artists and patrons of ambient/space music. Between the wonderfully organized Ambicon event and beautiful Helsinki, it was a refreshing and inspiring week and a half.

Thank you! Ambicon was great, I learned a lot, got inspired, met wonderful artists. My only regret is that Jillian couldn't join us. Next time for sure.
I had no idea what to expect about Helsinki, knew nothing about it other that's where Linux and Nokia came from. I was pleasantly surprised on how charming, civilized and safe Helsinki is. Coming from a major American city I was prepared for... well, the usual crime, and found none of it. It's no surprise then that the people, music and art are as captivating and inspiring.
Listening to everyone's work has been lifting for sure. Watching the performers (although it's a lot like walking into any Starbucks with their laptops) was peeking into their personal, creative space and in a fabulous venue! Wonderful event packed in to 24 hours.
