Hello!
My name is JT and I'm an amateur music producer living in NC. I have been interested in electronic music and specifically ambient for the better part of the last two decades. I played stringed instruments (viola, violin, cello) as a child, got into tracking programs (remember those, FT2) and synthesizers in the 90s (Roland XP 50, Korg X5D, Novation BassStation). In the 00s, I sold my gear and picked up an acoustic guitar. In the past few years, I've gotten back into electronic music. I'm a Reason user (for better or worse) and am very interested in sound design and creating custom patches for Thor, Malstrom, etc. My musical ideas are mostly short and I have yet to post a complete song but would like to take my music to the next level. This forum has given me the opportunity to connect with very talented musicians and to learn valuable insights about their techniques. I am inspired by: Brian Eno, Steve Roach, Thom Brennan, Rod Modell (Deephord), Stephen Hitchell (Echospace), loscil and bvdub (just to name a few).
