Thank you, both. Am looking forward to a browse through some sounds and learning more about the art of ambient and so on. There are some interesting threads on the forum.
So far so good! I have heard some interesting tracks, sounds and debates. All seems very helpful. I'm a vocalist primarily, have worked collaboratively with other musicians, some ambience involved. A few months ago I decided to write, compose and produce on my own. I appear to be heading into a dark, haunting and ambient landscape with both sound and lyrics. I aim to use my voice as an instrument for textured layering and much of what I do is, so far, experimental, lacking technical wizardry (but I'm learning) and is, for me, sound therapy. I will post some links when I find my way around the forum a bit more. Thanks.
