Hello from New Jersey

Greetings from the Jersey Shore... The name is Larry and my alter ego is SpiritScrutinium. I've been lurking around here for a couple of weeks and just wanted to say hi. I've been playing keyboards and bass guitar for well over 30 years, playing mostly R&B in the local music scene. I've always been interested in experimental sounding music and dabbled a bit in the late 70's and 80's with Musique Concrete, found sounds, etc. I only recently started experimenting (like last week...lol) with ambient type pieces finding it very satisfying. Quite frankly, I feel (IMO) that ambient music is perhaps one of THE genres for true experimentation and creativity. Anyway, I'm here to learn and hopefully contribute at some point in the future. There's a lot to learn. And AO seems like a real comfortable community to do so.

P.S. I can no longer listen to the crap on commercial radio...
