hello all, I'm chris_b - been lurking for a while after finding this place via MetaDronos when he made this track with my Blarg VSTi.

Over the years I've dabbled quite a bit with making ambient and atmospheric type stuff, but not really released much.. there's a bunch of drones I put on Freesound here and here's a piece made mainly with processed field recordings which I'm pretty pleased with:

Currently trying to get back into production after a bit of a lull - recently been listening to the Ambient Online Podcast and Ambient Online Compilation for inspiration.

I ventured outside for a whole 45 minutes today to do some food shopping. Too much excitement for one weekend. Must stay inside tomorrow of recovery purposes.

Hello noisedroid. Welcome aboard AO. Am just listening to places of dream now. A very interesting and relaxing piece. I really like the distant sounding bells. They remind me of an empty harbour on a misty night with old lanterns glowing a wonderful yellow and blowing to n fro in the slight breeze that creeps permanent and dark. Then what sounds like wolves and other land creatures lurking in the shadows of the track. Their body tones wailing, mirroring in the still night. A lovely warm echo tailing from their articulate operatics. There is like a constant swooshing effect to that appears indefatigable and endless. An almost silent thump can also be heard here n there like that of a stomping dinosaur leaving its foot prints behind as it yonders briefly throughout this charming arangement of wonder and mystery.

Overall a very welcoming piece of music. Warm and forever surreal.

Oh, you're the Contralogic guy, cool!



I try really hard nowadays to stick to a smaller 'contained' tool set (no downloading every freebie out there for me anymore ) but that set always contains Feldspar and RPS, both really useful tools (and great soundling in Feldspars case).
