  • Hi there!

    Hi Everyone,

My name is Marcel. I'm from the Netherlands (also known as Holland). I create music since the early eighties (i was around 20 years old) and I mostly make music solo (electronic & guitar). I also played in a few post punk bands in the late eighties. After a long pause, I started making music again late 2014 and posted my ambient music online for the first time May 2015.

Most important influence: Brian Eno but I don't live in the past so I think there are countless other artists who are (almost) as important as grandaddy Eno ;)

I hope to get inspired by you guys (and girls) and your music and maybe we can exchange some ideas, information, etc.

My artist name is Boqurant: https://soundcloud.com/boqurant

Thanks for the warm welcome. Listening to your tracks right now and I already like your work.
BTW: I'm Dutch but I had never heard of a "Dutch Oven". Learned something new today :-)

        cheers,

I lived in Assen for 4 months before moving northwards to Zuidlaren for 30 months. I've forgotten a lot of the language, but Google is my friend

                    welcome!

I lived in a community in WA where they had a sizable population of the descendants of Dutch immigrants. The saying at the yearly festival was "If you're not Dutch, you ain't much". Friendlier than it sounds, actually.

This is why I joined the forum! Your music is really good, and I like the variety of styles and mood that goes throughout your work. "The Old Barn and the Cricket" is especially beautiful.
