Hello Ambient lovers

Hi from Berlin!

I'm happy to stumble upon this forum and meet fellow ambient junkies.

With no doubt Biosphere brought me to the ambient landscape when releasing substrata, which is still one of my favorite album (as for so many I guess). I never really Produced ambient before 2 years ago and now getting soaked into it. My current Project is on soundcloud https://soundcloud.com/cosmic_f And just uploaded a latest mix to mixcloud with my favorits from the past years and a couple of my tracks:

In no way I feel like a pro yet. My main drive to produce ambient is the relaxation I get out of it and mostly do it for the sake of doing it because its so much fun. Haven't released anything, but I have the goal of building a live act by the end of the year. So I hope I get a lot of inspiration out of this forum as well as contributing to fellow artists. I currently live in Berlin, where I do visual design for Software-based Instruments and where I'm blown away by the ambient events occurring recently... looks like I wont leave this place for a while

Willkommen im Forum (das aber ansonsten Englisch spricht). Höre grade bei dir bei Soundcloud rein, das ist ja ganz nett.

Mal am Rande: was sehe ich in deinem grossen Profilbild dort - irgendein verkarstetes Gestein? Und das kleine runde Bild sieht mir nach einem Satellitenbild aus...

Ablaut, yes! berlin is a wonderful place for ambient fans. Just last month we had a 30 hour ambient sleepover called the long now with biosphere and other great artists. next big one to check out is atonal, a 4 or 5 day festival for experimental, ambient and techno. something to travel around the world for ;)

Betadecay, yes thats true. Images are coming from the wonderful chrome plugin "earth view from google earth" which will give you a new google earth image with every new tab you open
