Edgar Froese passed away :(

Edgar Froese, the founder of Tangerine Dream, has passed away after suffering a pulmonary embolism. He was 70 years old.

Sad to hear this. Edgar was still going strong as an artist. As he would put it, he has simply "changed his cosmic address".

I saw TD in Sydney in 1975. Amazing show, even if they were 2 hours late starting.

Tangerine Dream was a huge influence on me musically during the 80's. I had bought 'Exit' and 'Stratosfear' on vinyl, and in '89 I had the White Eagle CD. There was also the soundtrack done for Legend with Tom Cruise and Mia Sara, which I bought on cassette. I will greatly miss their input, as some of their stylings are still apropos even for today. They were definitely ahead of their time.
