At this difficult time i would just like to say stay safe, and i hope you all well over this difficult preriod. It is at times like these we really need to look out for eachother :-)
it's quite scary, but looking at the China page gives a bit of hope as the graphs begin to level out. hopefully we will get through this with minimal effect possible
My apologies to anyone that may have been offended by my 'triggered' response to this subject matter. All I can say is, there is no excuse for bad behavior, so I accept the consequences of my actions, and hope you all can forgive me. My circumstances notwithstanding, I will not post or comment on this subject again. I wish only peace to everyone involved.
is anyone else addicted to checking the worldometer website?
Nope, but one of the local newspapers has been updating its website several times per day with any coronavirus-related news and I've been checking it frequently, even though it's not normally one of my regular visits. Emergency orders, closings etc. have happened very rapidly over the past week.
The GOV is starting with cellphone-monitoring.. That's what Corona is all about :-)
strange I though COVID-19 was about biology. Politicians tend not to do these things - they are too selfcentred to think far ahead - but politicians and govts are masters at taking advamntage of others - its their lifes work really. So they never waste a crisis - this is well written about in Naomi Wolf's Shock Doctrine but I thnk the idea goes back as far as politics itself (Herodotus mentions it I seem to remember)
