Anyone using Twitter?!

I've got 3 twitter accounts...but barely use any of them. I just signed up for a fourth to tweet about music/ambient stuff but wanted to see how many other AO users we have who are active on twitter. Post 'em if you got 'em!!! :D :tu:

I know twitter is still a viable social media option...it's just never been engaging enough for me to use everyday. What do you guys think? Are you still tweeting your every thought and activity?! Or is ambient online and KVR all you really need?

Hee, me too. And contacting my sister who since taking to FB seems unable to reply to emails, txts etc...

I have a Twitter account but rarely post, mainly just follow a few interesting individuals (Steve Martin, Conon O'Brien, Chris Randall... )

I use it a lot, it's good for announcements and news, I don't read any tweets though, it's linked automatically to my Soundcloud, as is my patchpool Facebook account - privately I avoid Facebook like the plague

I've been tweeting about ambient online...hopefully we'll get some new members!!! I don't mind being the twitter ambassador...after all, it's what I do best!!!

i use twitter, @Arkansas_shawn fer any1 else needin a follow back....i find its great fer finding out who updated what and fer sharing music and pics or whatever...

Thought I would revive this thread for anyone interested. There are TONS of ambient musicians, sound designers, composers...you name it, we're tweeting on a daily basis. If you have a twitter account that you USE...post it here!

To be perfectly honest, I think nobody actually reads anything on twitter. I made a few experiments (combined with bandcamp stats etc to check) and they all only showed that you can write whatever you want and nobody cares, unless you're famous and/or controversial. Sure, you can meet some interesting people thru it, but as a toll to advertise anything that doesn't have an audience already it is totally useless, IMHO...
But again, that's just my personal experience with it, it might be different for others

I have also found twitter to be quite useful for generating some interest in my music. some of the people I follow post some very interesting stuff, but not always music-related :eek:
