        • I once had the opportunity to play around with an ARP2600 back in the early eighties. LOTS of knobs and switches! I never even got to looking at the back to see where the patch cables were routed, but there were some mighty interesting sounds coming out of that thing the day my friend and I experimented with it. I think that particular model was made in the early seventies.

          • Hello all, Long time away from AO but here I am back again, I just bought a small system that I'm (trying to : -) slowly build, although in a month I've filled up 2 Make Noise skiffs and have just ordered a 12u case.
Synkrotron I think we have connected on soundcloud before as I was on Ambient Online Vol 6.

I started out with a Phenol, which i didn't really gel with, then bought a make Noise 0-coast which was for my bank balance a complete disaster.
Here are a couple of jams I've created this month, not perfect, possibly too long, but I have to say recording a track live in one take is a truly pleasurable thing.
In terms of processing and effects I'm recording 4 tracks into into Ableton via an Expert sleepers ES-8 and then using send and return effects.

Here are a couple of jams Iv'e recorded over the last month, Heavy use of Adaptaverb, Echoboy & Replica XT Delay on both tracks

Here is my current modular grid

Hope to be chatting some more about Ambient Eurorack soon.

            cheers

Big apologies for not seeing this post sooner David.

Yes, I remember the AO Vol 6... Piano Signals (just had to check because my memory is crap, always has been). Lovely track that and I've powered it up for another listen.

Quite a step away from your current run of modular stuff. And I notice that your SoundCloud page has gone missing. There is an Ultram on SoundCloud still, but not you, I don't think. Have you moved elsewhere? Hearthis perhaps? Or just YouTube?

I have just watched one of your vids and I had already seen it. Probably as a result of researching the 0-Coast. Either that or I saw it on the Muffs forum... Again, my memory fails me

Good to see you getting stuck into the Eurorack stuff anyway

                        cheers

Wow, that's a nice setup! $4600, but looks well worth it!

Listening to the youtube videos, well done! There's just something indescribably satisfying about experimental recording where you come up with something right on the spot and it turns out so well that you decide to keep the recording.
