  • Midi sequencers polyrhythmic

    Hi everybody
I am looking for a midi sequencer (hardware) which can do polyrhythmic and organic sequences. I found this:
    http://www.ucapps.de/index.html?page=midibox_seq.html
But that is DIY. Anybody in here builds these things or knows someone who does?
Alternately any other hardware sequencers recommendable?

Octatrack will give you 8 MIDI tracks with individual track lengths of up to 64 steps, and you can choose whether they all reset to sync back up or if they ever do. It has 3 LFOs (CCs) per track as well.

I don't know if the Fyrd Mtrx-8 can do polyrhythms or not, or a MPC 1000 or 2500 with JJOS, but they might be worth looking into.

Korg's new electribes can vary their steps per track but we don't know if it will be truly polyrhythmic like the Octatrack.

Neil Baldwin in the UK ( http://marmotaudio.co.uk/ ) might build you a MIDIPal, building electronics is listed on their site, or I'm sure their forums have a list of tusted builders.
    Meh.

I forgot that on the OT you can have different time divisions per track, too. 15h plane flight ftl.

ie, track one can be 18 steps and playing at half tempo. track two can be 33 steps and 1/8th the tempo. track three can be 11 steps and twice tempo. Etc.

You then set the number of steps that will happen before the tracks all reset, or infinity.
        Meh.

I already have the analog rytm - which is crazy good. Also polyrhythmic. Maybe I need to pick up an octatrack Aldo - though it is expensive gear.
