Yesterday, Arturia released iSEM - Qutoing Arturia, iSEM is a recreation of the legendary 1974 Oberheim SEM synthesizer expander module. Known for its characteristic multimode filter and rich oscillators, the SEM module was revered for its sound by many. $9.99 USD/CDN.
My take - Sounds nice. I like the 8 voice programmer module. It was developed by the same company that did Nave and it runs much better than iMini on my iPad 3.
THis is a track I made with only using sounds from iSEM and I pushed some sounds through AudioReverb directly into Loopy. No post-processing.

On the FB iPad Musicians group new apps are discussed in detail and because of the recent release of new apps, Cube, Modular, iSEM etc, we have concluded that many of us suffer from AAS – App Acquisition Syndrome. We have no need for new synths apps but we buy them anyway. Must be the dopamine rush that you get the first time you open the app up and start to hear the new and wondrous sounds.
