Native Instruments Traktor Dj for iPad and iPhone is FREE TODAY ONLY!
Thanks Steve! I'm not at all into DJ'ing but this looks like fun for messing with a couple of samples. Downloaded.
...AO OSD #6 Look out!
I'm not into DJ'ing either but I'm sure I'll find a use for the app. The demos where they manipulate the wave form and can break it into slices is sort of similar to Samplr. Glad you got to take advantage of the freebie.
I messed around with this last night. Loaded up a few of my tracks and hit play...instant fun.
What was interesting was being able to hear my own tracks at different tempos. It's not like a regularly "change the tempo" of a song in my DAW. But doing it this way made it feel inconsequential which was neat. Track freezing was neat and the ability to basically "remix" a song you've already done...mix it with another track...I can definitely see how this could be useful as "backup" in a live situation.
Hopefully it's still free for anyone else wanting to get in on this!
Inspired by Chris' suggestion, I did my first remix of two of my tracks - Summer and Book Report Abandoned. I had a good time learning the basics of this fun app.
