I've had them for several years, apart for the exciter, I was never able to find a use for them (some of them seem to do nothing at all), but they look so great that I just can't seem to delete them ;-) However, it's been a while since I tried to use them, in the meantime my methods have changed, so maybe I should give them a try again.
but they look so great that I just can't seem to delete them ;-)
I know what you mean though. I've accepted I do not have golden ears as I struggle to hear the affects of a whole load of plugins (exciters, warmers, subtle 'colouring' compressors etc etc) unless I go for extreme settings. Made a stand and recently deleted loads of plugins that people say sound great but don't do anything for me (yeah, suggestible personality ) I tell you, it was a a veritable EQ massacre...
I guess I'm not a very subtle type of musician either and tend to go to the extreme myself, though as years go by I'm learning the occasional power of subtlety. But honestly and with all due respect for the developers who have all my gratitude, sometimes the effect is so tiny that it's not worth sacrificing the cpu power they require...
However, I'm shallow enough to keep a plugin if it looks good, so now and then I can look at it ;-P
Oh well I just thought I would bang them in here and see if anyone may find any real use for them, though I can get alittle scatty up here at times with fx plugins as alot of them can appear to complicated for me, especially if there is more than a few knobs/sliders on them
If I come across anymore I will be sure to throw em in ere
But yeh nice 1 for the feedback fella's
I should stress I'm not dissing the Antress plugins at all, many people I totally respect say how good they are. I'm just a cloth eared so and so who doesn't appreciate the finer side of audio production.
So thanks m3T4FoR for pointing them out, definitely worth a look to anyone who can appreciate them.
Though bizarrely, I can spend ages fine tuning a sound, either a synth or processed sound with conventional effects. Fiddling with filter settings to get things just right, swapping out different delays etc.
Hey no probz, I never saw that anyway, as I appreciate your feedback and all feedback, also its good that people give their true analysis as that way newcomers to this forum can read various music related topics and judge themselves how they feel about particular music/softwares ect, its also educational to as newcomers can learn and that is exactly what makes this site a wonderful place to come to, to learn from other musicians experiences, wether it be from the use of hardware/software ect.
